Case Study: Real Estate

The role of a Real Estate Photographer is quite an important one. They need to be able to showcase a property’s features clearly and attractively so that a potential buyers interest is engaged to the extent that they want to view the property in person.

This was the task set for me by a new client who had been given my details from one of my longstanding clients. He is a ‘one stop shop’ specialising in renovating and preparing properties for sale as well as listing and managing the sale of the property for his clients, overseeing the entire process from beginning to end.

The property was an unassuming terrace house which had been renovated, expanding it from a 2 bedroom property to 3 bedrooms with a study and increasing the number of bathrooms all while maintaining a generous amount of living space. The clean, crisp modern lines and bright palette brought a lot of light into the property which made it a joy to shoot.

I provided around 2 dozen images to my client. As this campaign was to be both online and in print media I provided both a set of low resolution images for web use and a set of high resolution images for use in newspapers, magazines and flyers. Both my client and the owners were very pleased with the photos. The owners were so happy with the photos that they contacted me about 6 months later and purchased a copy of the photos for their own records.
